ARRIVING AT THE STUDIO
- My studio is in my home, so please note that you’ll need to be escorted in and out.
- Address: 14513 38th Dr Se, Mill creek, WA, 98012
- I’ll meet you at the door to help carry your baby and guide you upstairs to the studio.
Who Should Come and When
- First portion (1–2 hours): Mom and baby only (+ one adult if needed).
- Second portion: After solo baby photos are done, dad, siblings, or other family members can join for the family portion. This helps keep the studio calm so baby can fall asleep and stay settled.
Tip: Dad can take siblings out for a snack or drink and return after about 1.5–2 hours.
GETTING BABY READY
Help your baby arrive sleepy and content:
-
Bath: Give baby a bath the morning of the session — it helps tire them out.
-
Lotion & Movement: Apply lotion and let them stretch and kick for 10–15 minutes.
-
Outfit: Dress baby in a zip-up or button-up sleeper, with no onesie underneath for easy undressing.
-
Feeding: Feed baby a full meal right before you leave so they can fall into a deep sleep during the drive.
What to Bring
-
Snacks and water for parents, Please avoid chocolate, crumbs, sticky, or cooked foods that has a smell — these can stain fabrics or distract during the shoot.
-
Milk or formula for baby
-
Clean diapers & wipes
-
Pacifier (essential!) — even if baby doesn’t usually take one, it can help baby settle into poses. It’ll only be used briefly and safely.
WHAT TO WEAR
Coordinating, Not Matching
-
Choose soft, neutral tones: whites, creams, beiges, light pinks, or pastels.
-
Mix colors that complement each other — avoid identical outfits.
-
Flowy dresses look beautiful on moms and daughters.
-
Choose colors that suit your home décor (where the photos will be displayed).
What to Avoid
-
Neon or very bright colors (they reflect on skin).
-
Bold or large patterns.
-
More than 3 different tones within one family.
-
Logos or distracting prints.
-
Heavy clothing — the studio will be warm for baby’s comfort (think “hot yoga” levels of warm). Light layers are best.
SESSION FLOW
We begin with solo baby portraits, then move to family photos at the end.
Every baby is different! If baby sleeps easily, the first part takes about 1.5–2 hours. If not, we’ll go slower—baby sets the pace.
Bring patience and flexibility—we’ll follow baby’s lead.
For Siblings
- Please talk to them beforehand about listening and following simple directions. Promise a reward after the shoot to keep them motivated
Behind-the-Scenes
If you’d like, take a few short behind-the-scenes videos of me working with your baby—I’d love to share them (but no pressure!).
