Sister's photoshoot with Boho dresses in Snoqualmie, Wa

In December when the weather here in Washington was cold, wet, and gloomy I had an idea about doing a sister's fun shoot right in front of a beautiful crystal mirror-like lake with flowy boho dresses, natural movement, and lots of love. I looked for models and started planning the shoot, I researched until I found this perfect spot by the lake in Snoqualmie, Wa, and decided that this is the perfect place for our shoot.

It took us months to find dresses that all 3 sisters liked and that went well together and had that flowy boho look to match the photoshoot style. We met on a sunny day with clear skies, just 2 hours before sunset to catch the golden light before it hides behind the mountains.

At first, some of the girls were anxious and a bit stiff, but I started directing them into natural poses that involve a lot of movement and they quickly started to feel at ease and were naturally smiling and interacting with the camera. This allowed for gorgeous pictures that not only showed the beautiful scenery behind them but the love and connection all three of them have for each other.

Time-line

It took us one hour to finish this shoot and I ended up with a gallery with 300 beautiful pictures for the family to choose from, every picture had so much depth and emotion that it was so hard to choose a favorite. we had an hour of laughing, walking, and playing and the time just flew by, the only reason we stopped was that the sun dipped down below the mountains and it started to get dark and cold all of a sudden. Golden hour light is usually one hour before sunset, but sometimes you have to take into account the mountains that can block the light earlier like the case was for us here.
