This Icelandic 3-week old baby made it to my studio in Millcreek Washington and stole my heart right away. I have prepared for this newborn shoot by getting blue and natural tones ready for the shoot.
I enjoyed posing this baby in a rattan basket and a rattan bed, and used pampas plants and bamboo carpets for decor to give this natural boho look.
Newborn babies don’t always cooperate during a shoot, and I have to use a lot of my magic to calm them down, wrapping newborns is one of the best ways to put them to sleep and calm them down for posing safely.
Wrapping is also a great way to add different fabrics, colors and styles to the shoot by using different types of textured fabrics and wrapping the baby in many different ways.
A newborn photoshoot is never complete without taking some pictures of baby with the parents and siblings as well. I love to take family pictures in a more relaxed lifestyle approach, this allows baby and parents to get comfortable and show the true love and passion they hold for one another.

One of the things to look for before hiring a newborn photographer is to make sure you are in love with the props and colors they offer. A newborn photographer is responsible for providing the wraps, bonnets, plants, baskets and beds in their own studio, making sure you love what they have to offer to ensure that you will love the final photos as well
