Newborn baby girl photos in my Millcreek studio
Taking photos of your newborn is so precious, and even though there is a lot to do to make sure the baby sleeps soundly in the photo session, like making sure the baby is under 14 days, it had a shower before coming, it's well-fed and warm, but at the end of the day, no one can make baby sleep if it doesn't want to.
This baby girl was wide awake the whole session which definitely made it harder to take some specific poses but not impossible, we worked with the baby to make her comfortable enough and took more wrapped and lifestyle poses instead of all naked newborn poses.
Family photos
family photos are another way to get around wide awake newborns, some babies tend to feel more relaxed when being held, so taking photos of a baby in a mum's arms, or a dad's arms is always a great choice when your newborn just is not sleeping.
At the end of the day what's important is to keep baby and mum comfortable while still documenting beautiful newborn photos for the family.
